Post-Growth Living
This month, Post Growth Fellow, Amanda Janoo shared an inspiring personal essay about why re-instilling generosity and contentment can fix our broken exonomy and help heal our world. The piece was reposted on Resilience and Popular Resistance.
We were also honored to receive a supportive quote from Carl Honoré, author of In Praise of Slowness:

Post-Growth Entrepreneurship
Developed by the PGI over the course of a decade, the Offers and Needs Market (OANM) is a two-hour guided process where community members meet (virtually or in person) to identify and exchange their passions, knowledge, skills, resources, opportunities, and needs.— from finding a place to live or a creative partner to offering graphic design services, public speaking techniques or even a special food recipe.
In June we ran our first ever public OANM, and it was a great success, with over 40 participants joining from around the world. From now on, we’re hosting a public, monthly, free Offers and Needs Market— and you can sign up here for the next one, which takes place on July 27th.
We’ve also recently finished a second round of OANM facilitator training, and were thrilled to receive this glowing Google review from participant, LT Deitrick:

It was great to see our friends and partners at the New Economy Coalition adopt and adapt the Offers and Needs model for their vast and diverse membership.
Post Growth Fellow, Mike Strode, who’s involved in the NEC, also spoke this month to Ownership Matters about his experience of the Offers and Needs Market — as well as a range of post-growth related community wealth-building approaches and initiatives.

Meanwhile, the PGI’s Executive Director, Donnie Maclurcan, appeared on our Board Director, Ingrid Edstrom’s podcast, Accounting Alchemy, where they discussed accounting for a post-growth world.
Donnie was also interviewed by the KÖVET Association for Sustainable Economies about whether companies can be persuaded not to grow.

Post-Growth Economics
This month, the PGI’s Director of Wellbeing, Vanessa Michael, chatted to Myzelium podcast about post-growth and community-based economies (in German).
One of Vanessa’s colleagues, Daniel Bartel, ran our ‘Post-Growth (drawing) Experiment’ as part of a training session, and found it a great way for people to enter into conversations around new economies. During the expermiment, one participant said, “wow, I didn’t know that my body can draw economics! Now I can!”
Last but not least, Post Growth Fellow, Gabriela Cabaña, published an uplifting article about the revolutionary socio-economic potential of Chile’s new constitution.
