the capital (capital is needed to build large industrial concepts and to operate them) : humanism
What to do with the capital, what to do with the industrial forces.
- Liberalism:
- Definition: Liberalism is a political and moral philosophy based on liberty, consent of the governed, and equality before the law. Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but generally, they support ideas and policies that emphasize individual rights, free markets, and electoral democracy.
- Specificities: Liberalism places a high value on individual freedoms, such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and a free press. It often emphasizes the importance of a market economy and private property in achieving personal freedom.
- Key Differences: Unlike Socialism, which often emphasizes economic equality and state intervention, Liberalism tends to favor limited government intervention in the economy. Compared to Nationalism, Liberalism generally prioritizes individual rights and international cooperation over national sovereignty and interests.
- Socialism:
- Definition: Socialism is a political, social, and economic philosophy encompassing a range of economic and social systems characterized by social ownership of the means of production and workers' self-management of enterprises.
- Specificities: It includes the political theories and movements associated with such systems. Social ownership can be public, collective, cooperative, or of equity. Socialists generally argue for a more equitable distribution of wealth and income and a reduction in the disparities of power and wealth between the rich and the poor.
- Key Differences: Unlike Liberalism, which typically advocates for a free market economy, Socialism often involves economic planning, state or collective ownership, and a more significant role for the state in the distribution of resources. Compared to Nationalism, Socialism usually focuses more on class struggle and economic equality within and across nations rather than national identity or interests.
- Nationalism:
- Definition: Nationalism is an ideology and movement that promotes the interests of a particular nation (as in a group of people), especially with the aim of gaining and maintaining the nation's sovereignty (self-governance) over its homeland.
- Specificities: Nationalism seeks to define a national identity based on shared characteristics such as culture, language, religion, and history. It often emphasizes pride in national achievements and is closely linked to patriotism.
- Key Differences: Unlike Liberalism, which emphasizes individual rights and freedoms, Nationalism often prioritizes the interests and culture of the nation-state. And, unlike Socialism, which focuses on class and economic structures, Nationalism is more concerned with cultural, historical, and territorial identity and unity.
